Dialogues Between Art, Design and Matter

Yann Masseyeff’s collaborations extend his exploration of material and form. They open his practice to other creative worlds, blending design, decorative art, and sculptural expression.

The collaboration with Daum led to Evolution, a limited edition of eight crystal pâte pieces that transcends contrasts of opacity and light. Drawing on tribal vocabulary and primary forms, this series becomes an allegory of time, imprint, and becoming. Each piece captures the tension between dual elements and compositions, questioning our relationship with the unknown and the traces we leave. By merging Daum’s glassmaking expertise with Yann’s sculptural sensitivity, these works embody a rare fusion of crystal and matter.

With Marjoo, the dialogue turns to geometric abstraction — a vibrant palette and graphic precision meeting texture and volume. Their Glyff collaboration gave birth to a visual language composed of painted wooden elements and stoneware sculptures: rectilinear lines, colored planes, and mineral surfaces interact in a taut balance where structure and emotion coexist. This alliance of geometry and organic matter reveals a subtle harmony in which each form asserts its identity — both autonomous and connected.

Architect and designer Reda Amalou invited sculpture into the functional space. Their Sculpture collaboration — a limited edition combining a bronze screen with stoneware elements — unites decorative finesse with sculptural strength. The furniture becomes artwork, balancing utility and plastic expression. Presented at Secret Gallery (Paris) during the Face à Face exhibition, this piece expresses a delicate fusion of drawing, light, structure, and matter.

Three eclectic, daring, and sensitive collaborations that extend Yann Masseyeff’s artistic vision in resonance with other creators.
